5th December 2009 Mid Range Match
- Results:
Hi all,
Thanks to all who turned up on a very damp day, but bright day. Seven intrepid shooters, some regulars and some old faces back from deployment. Great to see you all. The shoot was a reduced distance match on Short Siberia, all shot at 200 yards.
Alibi Ali, again featured, if you have a jam you leave it ALONE, you dont try and clear it saying 'I have never seen that before' ( two rounds trying for the same hole....... off that)
To be fair I havent seen since the last time Ali did it !
Every one had a few horrors...misses due to the wind, misses due to poor timing ( ME ...I had 2 )
The light was fading towards the end, finishing the full 88 round match at 15.20 +/_
One thing I have noticed this year regarding attendance, we book 6 lanes but only use and pay for 2. We have a good relationship with the NRA but staff in the office are changing ....and may not remember the times when 'we put money in their pockets' even when they were well out of order ' ( Bob Hoskins , Long Good Friday...a classic) ...now where was I ...... basically if they were to enforce their charges we would be hugely out of pocket..... sooooooooooo USE IT OR LOSE IT :)
We could make some of the early fixtures next year....200 yards Highpower practice sessions ....maybe CSR practice too...particularly 100 standing....where we pooched it at the Metheun as an association.
Really relaxed, but we need to sort something out, otherwise Highpower will die a death, I have 2 children, 4 and 2, so I am in demand too .... do we focus on certain dates in spring and summer wher we try for maximumturn out and practice the rest of the time..... answers on a post card.
best regards
Rowan
