XTC 80 Round Match

Nearly three months since the last Highpower Match so everybody was keen to get stuck in, conditions were ideal with almost no wind in the morning and a bright sun, light changes and a fishtailing wind at 600 caused a few problems later in the day.
Dave Green travelled down from Cumbria to shoot with an M1 .308; the rest of his gun collection is apparently in bits at the moment. Unfamiliarity and the punishing recoil took its toll in the rapids so I'm sure Dave is looking forward to getting to grips with his 6mmBR tube gun when Mark gets the time to put it together.
Ian Dixon shot well on his 4th match scoring a PB with 719, Mark Dougan also did well with is T2K with another match rifle PB.
Rob Spottiswoode let it slip that he had been practicing off hand with a .22LR but the results showed with an excellent 94.00 string.
The next Highpower is on Saturday 22 Sep 07, the first ever UK 60 round Mid Range Match shot prone at 300, 500 and 600 yards. On Sunday 23 Sep 07 there is a 80 round XTC Match so why not make a weekend of it.
